How To Overcome Procrastination?
It's something in which we delay our urgent work and focuses more on doing unnecessary tasks. Due to procrastination we leave back our important work.
•Tips to overcome procrastination.
1.What triggers you - identifying what triggers you the most is very first step of overcoming procrastination.
2. Distractions - distractions are part of our lives, in this generation everyone is surrounded by multiple distractions, so we must learn to control ourselves to stay away from these distractions.To attain this state of life we will be needing a calm and relaxed mind.We know that, procrastination makes easy things hard, hard things harder.
3.Focus - To concentrate on any work, avoid multitasking as you cannot perform multiple tasks at a time, only try focus on a single task at a time.Do your tasks with shortbreaks so you do not feel tired or hectic.You can also try to solve puzzle and mind games to active your brain cells which increases your mind presence means your focus will be improved directly.
4.Meditation and Exercise - Make schedule for meditation and exercise as well, meditation will take your focus and concentration on another level,and don't forget to practice breathing exercises that will fresh up brain,do this atleast for 20-30 minutes a day, And do some streching exercise as well.That would be more than sufficient for a day.
5.Making a Plan - without knowing that what you have to do and how you can perform your tasks can make it more complicated for you to work, so it's very important to have a structured plan or a timetable ,in which you can arrange your tasks accordingly in reference to your priorities. Always put a tick on the tasks completed on the time table which will give you inner satisfaction and motivation to keep on working.
6.Rewarding Yourself - After every task completion give yourself some treat as a reward for working hard, these small gesture towards yourself will keep you motivated to work harder than before.
It's not important that you must give yourself a materialistic rewards, it could be anything like giving yourself a break would be great reward.
